The Orvis Lowcountry Saltwater Fishing School is hosted by Bay Street Outfitters and Anchorage 1770 Inn on historic grounds overlooking the Beaufort River in Beaufort, South Carolina. These pristine flats are home to abundant redfish and make a perfect setting to experience flats fishing from the bow of a flats boat.
This three-day Lowcountry Saltwater Fishing School adventure begins with instruction by Capt. Tuck Scott, an Orvis-endorsed guide. You’ll learn fly-casting techniques, tackle and fly selection, knots, hook setting, and fish fighting techniques. Learning the double haul will improve your casting skills for many future trips.
