Fishing Outfitters

Prepare Yourself for the Extraordinary

Beaufort’s Lowcountry coast offers hundreds of square miles of tide waters and grassy marshes to fish and the possibilities are endless. Anchorage 1770 is proud to partner with Beaufort’s Bay Street Outfitters and Castaway Fishing Charters for your fishing adventures and guides. Bay Street is the only Orvis-endorsed guide service in the Lowcountry. Anchorage 1770 guest services can coordinate your priority bookings with Bay Street Outfitters and Cast Away Fishing Charters.

Beaufort’s shallow waters offer extraordinary sight fishing and the flats of the Lowcountry are teeming with fly casting and light tackle opportunities. Whether it’s sight casting to tailing reds, chasing giant cobia or casting into schools of jacks, ladyfish, Spanish mackerel or trout, the fish are here.

A special bonus, Beaufort’s redfish fishery is year round. Each season is a new experience as temperature brings out different habits. Consider designing a visit to The Redfish School, a wonderful memory making experience for couples.

Guided Trips

BAY STREET OUTFITTERS

1/2 day trip | $440

Fishing a Tide. Fly fishing in the Lowcountry revolves around the tide and most of the time a of a certain tide on a given day makes for the best fishing of that day.

3/4 day trip | $525

A little longer. Sometimes you just don’t want to leave the water, because the bite is too good, the conditions are too nice, etc… Because we don’t double book, except in extreme conditions, we can make sure that we will be able to stay out on the water when those times arise.

Full day trip $610

Fish Both Tides. A day often has two tides that will fish very well, a low tide for reds and a high for tails or a morning of slick water for Cobia with a tide that will work nice for reds later on.

The Redfish School

This is a class for the beginning to the intermediate fly caster who wishes to build a strong foundation. Emphasis is on fly casting, with exposure to equipment choices, knots, and flies for saltwater fishing. The cost for the one-day school is $200.00. Fly casting is a prerequisite to fly fishing. This program solves casting problems and then focuses on fishing techniques. We want you to learn to cast before you are on top of fish. Book a class today so that you can be more productive on every fly fishing trip in the future. Course materials include a notebook & “The Orvis Guide to Saltwater Fly Fishing.”
